In Telugu weddings, bride and groom perform Puja separately until the jeelakarra Bellam ritual. Bride and groom are not allowed to see each other until the muhurtham. Addutera is a white cloth used as a partition between the bride and groom. Instead of plain cloth, traditional designs or names or bride and groom are hand painted/printed on the Addutera. A net cloth with stone work or Jasmine Flower net is also being used Addutera.
